Today I have swatch photos of the #97 Starry Sky nail polish from Born Pretty Store!
The Starry Sky polishes are a holographic, shifting micro-glitter polish that looks best layered over black. They make your nails look like you have the galaxy on them! 🙂

Shown is one coat over one coat of a black nail polish.
The formula of this polish is okay, but a little jelly-like. It can make it a bit of a pain to apply, but when layered over black any imperfections or missed spots disappear, and it doesn’t make a difference. I think that the polish looks great with this black base!
Last time I swatched a starry sky polish, I tried wearing it on its own to see how it would look. It took three coats to get it completely opaque, and even then, the polish wasn’t completely dark and outer space-like. Over a base, this polish just completely transforms and looks so unique. Just one coat over black does the trick!
For those of you who like dark nail polish colors but get tired of plain creme polishes, these starry sky toppers are an easy way to really change your manicure.
The color shift in this polish is really gorgeous. In most of my photos, it had a teal and purple hue to it, but in the photo below, you can see that it shifts into a much more blue color in some lights. I just can’t stop looking at my nails when I wear polishes like this!
